Xi'an
Home of the Terracotta Warriors

This creepy megaphone was just sitting here, unattended, on a busy sidewalk blaring a 10 second message in Chinese that we didn't understand.

This was a little musuem at the East Gate of Xi'an's city wall.

Fun! We walked about 3 of the 14 miles of this huge city wall. They charged 40 RMB ($5 USD but more than half what they charge to see the Terracotta warriors which was the most expensive thing we did in China) to get on top where you can walk it so it was pretty abandoned and had some pretty views of the park between this wall and the moat. Otherwise, Xi'an kind of bored us.

6 points to the oldest known brick in China. The sign in Chinese points to the site of the well some farmer dug in 1974 when he found an old pot fragment and said, "cool, I found an old pot in the ground!" They're finding more and more of these guys all the time. What a trip.

With something like 6000 rock hard soldiers trapped in such a little space, I think this picture confirms the assumption that these horses were being taken advantage of.

We read that the soldiers used to be holding thier weapons but they were removed for safe storage. Ouch!

Awesome!

The Chinese sure know how to party. Check out these before and after pictures.

What's a frush?
